LocationThis hybrid position is based in Bath, Maine. After initial onboarding and training, employees may work remotely up to two days per week.
Primary Responsibilities- Verify design and engineering changes implemented shipboard to ensure that the changes are accomplished.
- Interface with SOSB Quality to illustrate incomplete changes prior to Navy acceptance.
- Evaluate engineering and design changes for accuracy and hull/ship applicability.
- Participate in shock inspections, inspecting and evaluating as-built conditions on board ship and logging any discrepancies into a government-controlled database.
- Report findings to PMS 400D and SOSB.
- Support SOSB in developing trial cards for incomplete or incorrect execution of change.
- Bachelor’s degree and/or 5 years of experience in ship design, configuration management, acquisition, operation, or lifecycle sustainment.
- Basic understanding of ship design drawings.
- Strong written communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Broad knowledge of ship construction process or trades.
$52,000.00 - $94,000.00 (general guideline only, not a guarantee).
