Job DescriptionGDIT is looking for a talented and experienced Project Controls Engineer who can lead the development and management of the program master schedule for a large complex program. The role will drive operational and financial efficiency and execution excellence, partnering with Program, Production, Technical, and functional managers to achieve program success.
Responsibilities- Schedule Management: responsible for establishing and maintaining the overall schedule baseline and IMS of the program; collaborate with program schedulers to enable effective schedule performance management across all contractual areas; responsible for contributing to deliverable/CDRL submission performance.
- Cost Management: assist in developing and maintaining the overall cost baseline of the program through the IMS; generate routine estimate at completion forecast; collaborate with the program financial analyst to enable effective cost performance management, analysis, reporting and deliver both program and corporate financial performance.
- Risk Management:
collaborate with the risk management team to maintain the risk register and program management reserves. - PMO Management: communicate and collaborate with local and corporate functional managers to enable strong program performance; enable integration of all functional support into program meetings and processes; develop customer and company briefings, program management reviews and monthly management reviews; lead and manage proposal and pricing initiatives including change proposals, pricing strategies and Basis of Estimate (BOE) development.
- Maintain program management excellence: customer relationships, supplier relationships, technical execution, schedule, risk and quality management, financial performance; proactively implement return-to-green plans; promote technology insertion, innovation, and continuous improvement through best practices, tools and methodologies in schedule management.
- Build a culture aligned with GDIT values of honesty, trust, transparency, and alignment; foster a community of diversity and inclusion and develop an environment of proactive, transparent communication and collaboration.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred. - Experience:
4+ years of project controls / project management experience. - Hands‑on experience managing and controlling program scope, schedule, cost, risk and quality on significant programs.
- Business management acumen with ability to proactively manage financial and performance metrics.
- Familiarity with earned value management and Six Sigma principles and practices.
- Leadership qualities that enable employee engagement, professional development, innovation, collaboration, communication, accountability and overall program performance.
- Ability to develop integrated master schedules using Microsoft Project or Primavera P6 with complete schedule logic and resource loading.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance or higher.
- Preferred:
Proficiency with Power BI, Excel Power Query and macros.

The likely salary range for this position is $83,927 - $113,549. Actual compensation will be based on experience, geographic location and contractual requirements.
