Material Handler; Grades 4 All Shifts

Position: Material Handler (Grades 4 - 6) - All Shifts
Job Description

Pay range for this position is $28.39/hr - $29.48/hr this is a mid-level position to work as a Material Handler. Applicants may be assigned any Material Handler Trade tasks, but will initially be assigned to operate equipment including (but not limited to): receive/issue material at Warehouses and Facilities, maintain accurate inventory, operate fork lifts, operate barcode scanners and operate hand tools (Banders, etc.)

Required/Preferred Education/Training

* Previous fork-lift experience required with the ability to demonstrate proficiency at time of interview.

* High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Required/Preferred Experience

* Previous forklift experience with demonstrated proficiency required.

* More than 1 year of warehousing experience preferred.

* Previous BIW Material Handling experience or familiarity with BIW material Handling process preferred.

* Intermediate computer skills and use of barcode scanners.

* Must meet the requirements of the Material Handler physical task analysis, to include climbing stairs/ladders and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

* Must have a valid driver's license.
