Overview
At Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS), we design, develop and deliver advanced technologies. This role supports the operation of AEGIS Weapon Systems at Bath Iron Works, Bath, Maine.
ResponsibilitiesPrimary responsibilities include:
- Coordinate the Combat Systems Logistics supportability; receipt, shipping and changes of installed equipment; report deficiencies.
- Assist in ordering and tracking material and coordinate with various sources to ensure equipment is provided to the ship and testing program as quickly as possible.
- Coordinate the packing and shipping of retrograde material; perform material receipt inspection of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE); document logistic discrepancies using appropriate waterfront processes.
- Knowledge of standard logistic practices and procedures; proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Ability to coordinate ordering and tracking of failed Combat System parts, document and report configuration and logistics changes, and coordinate timely delivery of repair parts through vendors.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance; US citizenship required.
- Strong communication skills; able to work in a multi-corporate team environment.
- Subject to drug screening per company policy.
- Ability to travel 25%-35% of time to support AEGIS availability at locations outside Bath; frequent work in shipyard industrial environments and on naval vessels, both underway and in port.
- Physical ability to traverse steep ladders and stairs; work in confined spaces.
- Process requisition orders; maintain databases to track, analyze and identify material issues.
- Knowledge of WEDOC, SUPSHIP Bath, BIW Materials handling and control procedures.
- Knowledge of BIW INCO programs; handle disposition of Milstrip consumables or non-repairable failed assets.
- Maintain sea trial spares inventory and stock allowances.
- Perform non-routine and moderately complex work assignments.
Requires a government security clearance at SECRET level; candidate must be a US Citizen.
