You'll work alongside experienced engineers who will support your development, giving you the skills to become a fully qualified Workshop Fitter.
This role would suit a Mechanical Engineering graduate, apprentice, college leaver or similar looking for a hands‑on engineering career with excellent training, long‑term progression and the opportunity to develop your technical skills.
In this role, the successful Trainee Workshop Fitter or Engineer or similar will assist with servicing, repairing and inspecting a wide range of plant equipment before and after hire, learn to diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults, support PUWER and LOLER inspections, and gain experience working on machinery from leading manufacturers including JCB, Takeuchi, Komatsu, Doosan, John Deere and New Holland.
The Role:- Assisting with the servicing, repair and inspection of plant machinery
- Learning to diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults with full training
- Working alongside experienced engineers while developing into a fully skilled Workshop Fitter
- Newly qualified apprentice, college leaver or similar
- NVQ, HNC/HND, Apprenticeship, Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- Keen to develop a career in plant maintenance and heavy machinery
