Turner Industries Group is hiring a Project Accountant Associate to join our team in Baton Rouge, LA. The overall purpose of the Project Accountant position is to assist Project Management, Field Personnel and Accounting Management to ensure invoicing on each project is handled in an accurate, efficient, and professional manner.
Responsibilities- Assist Project Accountants and Management to prepare and submit to clients detailed and accurate invoices of reimbursable costs associated with maintenance and construction projects; effectively communicate and work closely with other departments, field personnel and client representatives to compile invoicing information and resolve problems.
- Collaborate with other Project Accountants and provide assistance when a coworker s workload demands; participate in special projects such as client audits, system conversions, etc., as deemed necessary by Project Accounting Management.
- Help prepare detailed and accurate month-end accruals (when necessary) and assist in researching, reporting, and explaining any billing transactions to Accounting Management.
- Perform additional assignments per supervisor s direction.
- Bachelor s Degree in Accounting / Business
- Self-motivated, problem-solving, mentorship, communication, time management
- Extensive technical skills Microsoft Word, Excel, Reports Now, etc.
- Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation
- Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others at the workplace
Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
