All responsibilities in this role are performed on behalf of our clients, with a focus on delivering timely, accurate, and actionable financial information that supports better decision‑making.

You will be an integral part of ensuring our clients’ accounting functions can scale alongside their growth. You’ll collaborate closely with senior accountants, controllers, fractional CFOs, and tax professionals to help clients move beyond compliance and toward clarity, confidence, and control.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining technical accounting with communication, problem‑solving, and service—acting as a trusted extension of a client’s internal finance team.

Duties and Responsibilities

All duties below are performed for and on behalf of assigned clients:

  • Prepare and enter monthly journal entries to accurately record client accounting transactions, ensuring all entries are supported by appropriate documentation.
  • Maintain accurate and reconciled balance sheet accounts, including accruals and prepaid balances.
  • Post payroll journal entries provided by third‑party payroll processors (e.g., ADP) and ensure proper classification.
  • Reconcile intercompany balances and investigate variances.
  • Perform monthly and weekly credit card and bank reconciliations, ensuring timely identification of issues.
  • Closely monitor and reconcile client cash activity, providing visibility and accuracy.
  • Prepare, track, and analyze accruals for assets and liabilities.
  • Reconcile client and vendor accounts and assist in resolving discrepancies.
  • Analyze financial trends and data, research issues, and proactively communicate findings to internal team members and clients.
  • Play a key role in the monthly close process for multiple clients, meeting defined timelines and quality standards.
  • Communicate professionally with clients via email, virtual meetings, and internal collaboration tools to clarify transactions, request information, and explain accounting outcomes.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with tax, advisory, and leadership teams to support Attracct’s full‑service client offerings.
  • Additional duties may be assigned to meet client and firm needs.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent relevant accounting experience.
  • Working knowledge of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Cash Management, Balance Sheet Reconciliations, and supporting financial schedules.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving ability, and initiative.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with clients.
  • Client‑service mindset with a desire to add value beyond basic bookkeeping or compliance.
  • Driven, versatile, and able to manage multiple client engagements.
  • Commitment to confidentiality and professional ethics.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Familiarity with accounting software such as Quick Books Online, Quick Books Desktop, Xero, or Sage.
  • Desire to learn, improve, and grow within a client advisory environment.
