We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. In this role, you will handle a variety of accounting tasks that are essential for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting departmental operations. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to contribute their expertise to a dynamic team. Responsibilities:

- Process daily accounts receivable transactions, including payments made via bank transfer, check, and credit card.

- Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures when managing incoming payments and accounts.

- Conduct daily financial activities such as verifying, categorizing, posting, and recording receivables data.

- Prepare and organize bank deposits in a timely manner.

- Maintain accurate and accessible backup documentation for research and reference purposes.

- Review figures, postings, and documents to ensure accuracy and proper coding.

- Handle daily invoices and assist with reconciling general ledger accounts.

- Manage departmental mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it each day.

- Provide support with accounts payable tasks and other general accounting functions.

- Perform additional administrative responsibilities within the accounting department as needed.

Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable, or general accounting within a fast-paced office environment.

- Associate degree in Business or Accounting is preferred.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

- At least 1 year of experience using Quick Books software is desirable.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills coupled with excellent organizational abilities.

- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.

- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.

- Proactive and efficient attitude with a commitment to contributing to the organization's success.
