Corporate Staff Accountant

Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team in a client‑facing capacity supporting a fast‑growing client advisory services environment. This position works directly with business owners and internal teams to deliver timely, accurate, and actionable financial information. The Staff Accountant plays a key role in ensuring clients’ accounting functions can scale alongside their growth while contributing to improved clarity, confidence, and control in financial operations.

• Prepare and enter monthly journal entries with proper supporting documentation to accurately record client transactions.
• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts, including accruals and prepaid balances.
• Post payroll journal entries from third‑party payroll providers and ensure accurate classification.
• Reconcile intercompany balances and investigate variances.
• Perform weekly and monthly bank and credit card reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Monitor and reconcile client cash activity to ensure visibility and accuracy.
• Prepare, track, and analyze accruals for assets and liabilities.
• Reconcile vendor and client accounts and assist in discrepancy resolution.
• Analyze financial data and trends, research issues, and proactively communicate findings to internal teams and clients.
• Support and execute the monthly close process for multiple clients, meeting established deadlines and quality standards.
• Communicate professionally with clients via email and virtual meetings to clarify transactions, request documentation, and explain accounting outcomes.
• Collaborate with tax, advisory, and leadership teams to support comprehensive client service offerings.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support client and organizational needs.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent relevant accounting experience.
• Working knowledge of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Cash Management, Balance Sheet Reconciliations, and financial reporting support schedules.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact confidently with clients.
• Strong client‑service mindset with the ability to add value beyond compliance‑based tasks.
• Ability to manage multiple client engagements and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professional ethics.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Experience with accounting software such as Quick Books Online, Quick Books Desktop, Xero, or Sage preferred.
• Demonstrated desire to learn, grow, and advance within a client advisory environment.

• Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer.
• Ability to communicate clearly via phone, video conferencing, and in person.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 15 pounds.
• Ability to work in a hybrid office environment as required.
