Marex is seeking a Senior Accountant to lead technical accounting execution across our multi-entity U.S. and EU operations.

This role will own the month-end close process, prepare financial statements, manage general ledger reconciliations, and oversee accrual accounting across entities. The position requires a high level of technical accuracy, process discipline, and comfort operating in a growing environment where systems and controls continue to evolve.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, systems-comfortable, and confident operating with autonomy and accountability.

This role reports directly to the Controller and will play a critical role in strengthening financial controls and reporting discipline as the company scales.

• Lead monthly close process across multiple legal entities
• Draft consolidated financial reporting packages
• Perform and review general ledger reconciliations
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting in accordance with internal deadlines

• Prepare revenue and cost accruals
• Manage and reconcile intercompany transactions
• Maintain and refine chart of accounts structure
• Support technical accounting consistency across entities

• Maintain month-end close checklist and reconciliation calendar
• Ensure supporting documentation is complete and audit-ready
• Strengthen and improve standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Support internal controls and financial reporting accuracy

• Collaborate with operations teams to validate revenue and cost flows
• Support bank reporting requirements and line-of-credit documentation
• Assist with annual tax preparation processes

• 4–7+ years of accounting experience
• Experience independently preparing financial statements
• Demonstrated accrual accounting expertise
• Multi-entity accounting experience required
• International and/or multi-currency exposure preferred
• Experience with Quick Books Online (QBO) or similar accounting systems preferred
