Accounts Payable Supervisor – Join Our Team
Associated Grocers is seeking an Accounts Payable Supervisor to lead our accounting team. In this role, you’ll oversee AP staff, ensure accurate and timely invoice processing, and help maximize cost savings.

- Reviewing invoices ready for payment for proper approvals, coding, and use tax.
- Processing and reviewing all daily disbursements.
- Scanning Inventory Receiving documents.
- Linking payments and backup documents within the document imaging program.
- Processing inventory and administration invoices.
- Reconcile manual invoices in SCP.
- Post manual payments within accounting software.
- Reconcile tobacco bank statements and provide Accounting with a report of any outstanding purchases or credits for period‑end.
- Communicate any open credits with the Tobacco vendor.
- Ensure Damage Reclamation labels and new member binders are sent when requested.
- Provide monthly up‑to‑date files to the Damage Reclamation Vendor.
- Provide reporting to requested retailers as well as internally for further review.
- Pull damage reclamation data every third Wednesday after period end date to process store credits and vendor charges.
- Supply Accounting Manager with a summarization of damage reclamation net revenue.
Manages and supervises the Accounts Payable Department. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Education and/or ExperienceBachelor's degree (B.
A.) from four‑year college or university; or one to two years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proficient in Excel and general computing skills.
