Accountant, Financial Reporting, Financial Analyst

Responsibilities

• Oversees accounting for the UAMS ESPC Project including maintenance of the general ledger and the month‑end close process
• Works closely with the Program Management team in areas including budget and forecast preparation, project financial analysis, and development of internal control policies and procedures
• Performs daily and monthly accounting processes including journal entries, account reconciliations and general ledger transactions
• Prepares monthly client invoicing in coordination with the Program Management team
• Enters subcontractor accounts payable invoices and manages needed cash disbursements
• Assists in the preparation and analysis of financial information in accordance with GAAP
• Prepares routine financial reports and ad‑hoc reports for operational review and decision making
• Provides analysis and recommendations to senior leadership by analyzing project financial performance, analyzing budget variances, and ensuring compliance
• Assists with submission of information and necessary communication with internal and external auditors and responds appropriately to auditor comments and recommendations

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3+ years of accounting experience
• Intermediate level skills in Adobe, Excel and other MS Office tools
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Detail‑oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast‑paced environment
• Versed in the industry and the Company's competitors
• Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary
