We're looking for a Revenue Tax Auditor Supervisor to join our Field Audit Income Tax Division to supervise and coordinate tax audits for various tax types!

Minimum Qualifications:

Seven years of experience in tax accounting or tax auditing; OR Six years of full-time experience in any field plus twenty-four semester hours in accounting plus four years of experience in tax accounting or tax auditing; OR A bachelor's degree with twenty-four semester hours in accounting plus four years of experience in tax accounting or tax auditing; OR A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, management, economics, or statistics plus four years of experience in tax accounting or tax auditing;

OR An advanced degree in accounting, finance, business administration, management, economics, quantitative methods, or statistics, or a Juris Doctorate, plus three years of experience in tax accounting or tax auditing; OR Possession of a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or a current Louisiana license to practice law plus two years of experience in tax accounting or tax auditing. EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties and Other Information:

In this role, you will:

• Serve as the assistant to the Revenue Tax Auditor Manager, Revenue Tax Assistant Director or Revenue Tax Director over a team of auditors in a defined geographical area.
• Will be responsible for the supervision of a staff of Revenue Tax Auditors located within the state of Louisiana as well as other locations throughout the United States.
• Accompanies Revenue Tax Auditors on pre-audit and post-audit interviews with taxpayers and their accountants, chemists, information technology personnel and legal counsel to discuss audit procedures, explain the results of audits and the treatment of various tax issues.
• Assigns case inventory and provides assistance in determining the appropriate course of action for audits.
• Plans the workload, workflow, deadlines, work objectives and time management priorities.
• The Revenue Tax Auditor Supervisor also monitors Revenue Tax Auditor performance standards and measures and conducts performance evaluations.

Compensation:
The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.

Special Entrance Rates (SER) have been established for this position. The Revenue Tax Auditor Supervisor (AS-619) has a starting rate of: $27.86/hourly; $2228.80 biweekly.

A Tax and Natural Disaster Clearance will be conducted on all selected applicants to validate the timely submission of tax returns and payments. It is a requirement that all Revenue employees must adhere to all tax laws of the State of Louisiana.

LA R.S.15:587.5, 587.6 and the IRS require the Louisiana Department of Revenue to conduct a criminal history records check of a prospective employee who will access federal tax information to perform job duties.
