Controller ​/ Senior Accountant

Legacy Management Group is a long-term care and rehabilitation company headquartered in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, operating nursing and care facilities across Louisiana and Texas. Legacy Management Group is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controller or Senior Accountant to join our company. Role Description

The Controller / Senior Accountant is a full-time, on-site role located in Baton Rouge, LA, responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting. This role manages the general ledger, prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, and ensures timely reconciliation of accounts and bank statements. The individual will handle budgeting and forecasting activities, monitor cash flow, support audits, and maintain compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations.

This position reports to the Chief Financial Officer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and general ledger accounting; experience preparing and reviewing financial statements.
• Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems, as well as intermediate to advanced Excel skills
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis to support business decision-making.
• Ability to manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processes, and reconciliations with high attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain and improve internal controls, policies, and procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Experience working in a multi-entity environ
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and present financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
• Several years of progressive accounting experience, ideally including responsibility at a senior accountant or controller level.
• Ability to work on-site in Baton Rouge, LA, and uphold ethical standards and confidentiality in all financial matters.
• Experience with Sage Intacct highly preferred
