This position is located within the Office of Animal Health and Food Safety in East Baton Rouge Parish.

Three years of experience in administrative services; OR
Six years of full-time work experience in any field; OR
A bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties:
* Provides comprehensive administrative support to the Louisiana Egg Commission, including managing correspondence, maintaining the Commission email account, updating website content, and reviewing/approving social media posts.
* Administers professional services contracts by preparing bid requests, monitoring agreements, tracking compliance, and making recommendations to the Director.
* Coordinates and supports Commission operations by scheduling meetings, developing agendas, preparing minutes and meeting materials, composing official correspondence, and presenting financial reports to members.
* Manages financial and procurement functions, including tracking purchases, overseeing the LaCarte card, compiling financial statements and quarterly reports, and coordinating with LDAF Revenue.
* Organizes logistics such as travel arrangements for LDAF staff, coordinating promotional events statewide (including occasional overnight travel), and managing ordering, shipping, and receiving of program supplies.
* Collects, analyzes, and reports program data by preparing required state and federal reports, supporting inspection and compliance tracking, assisting with payroll and expense processing, and compiling performance indicator reports for administrators.

* Light to moderate lifting, 20 pounds with occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds
* Occasional bending or kneeling
* Sit over a long period of time at workstation or in a vehicle for travel

Appointment Type:
* Full-time, this position may be filled by probation or by promotion of a classified employee of Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry serving with permanent status.
* Applicants who are not permanent employees of Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry will be required to serve a probationary period up to 24 months.

The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
