Confidential Assistant And Executive-Level Administrative Advisor
The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries is responsible for managing and protecting the state's renewable natural resources, including all wildlife and aquatic life. LDWF supports a strong work ethic in its employees and incorporates the use of good science, accurate information and technology.
This position is located in the Enforcement Division within the Office of the Secretary. The incumbent serves as the Confidential Assistant and executive-level administrative advisor to the Wildlife Enforcement Superintendent (Colonel) and the Appointing Authority for the Enforcement Division. Operates with extensive independent judgment, discretion, and authority while managing highly sensitive administrative, operational, and executive matters impacting statewide Enforcement operations and Department leadership.
Functions as the primary executive liaison between the Colonel's Office and agency executive leadership, command staff, regional offices, the Governor's Office, state and federal agencies, and external partners regarding confidential law enforcement operations, executive initiatives, and high-level administrative responsibilities.

Minimum qualifications include four years of experience in administrative services; OR six years of full-time work experience in any field plus one year of experience in administrative services; OR a bachelor's degree plus one year of experience in administrative services; OR an advanced degree. Experience substitution is also available.
Job duties include coordinating and managing highly confidential executive communications, coordinating and facilitating executive-level operations, research, compiling, analyzing, and preparing complex operational, statistical, financial, and administrative reports for executive leadership, serving as the Head Time and Attendance Administrator for the Enforcement Division and overseeing division-wide payroll and leave administrative activities for statewide Enforcement personnel, serving as the Enforcement Division liaison with Human Resources, Accounting, Purchasing, Property Control, Aviation, and other administrative sections, and performing other related duties, executive assignments, and administrative management responsibilities as assigned by the Colonel and executive leadership.
Position-specific details include a probational or promotional appointment type, location within the Enforcement Division of the Office of the Secretary in Baton Rouge, and the possibility of being filled as an Administrative Program Specialist B or
