The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries is responsible for managing and protecting the state's renewable natural resources, including all wildlife and aquatic life. This position is located in the Enforcement Division within the Office of the Secretary. The incumbent serves as the Confidential Assistant and executive-level administrative advisor to the Wildlife Enforcement Superintendent (Colonel) and the Appointing Authority for the Enforcement Division. Operates with extensive independent judgment, discretion, and authority while managing highly sensitive administrative, operational, and executive matters impacting statewide Enforcement operations and Department leadership.
Functions as the primary executive liaison between the Colonel's Office and agency executive leadership, command staff, regional offices, the Governor's Office, state and federal agencies, and external partners regarding confidential law enforcement operations, executive initiatives, and high-level administrative responsibilities.

Four years of experience in administrative services; OR Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus one year of experience in administrative services; OR A bachelor's degree plus one year of experience in administrative services; OR An advanced degree. EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties and Other InformationJob duties:
As an Administrative Program Specialist B/C you will perform responsible duties related to :
- coordinating and managing highly confidential executive communications
- coordinating and facilitating executive-level operations
- research, compiles, analyze and prepare complex operational, statistical, financial, and administrative reports for executive leadership
- serving as the Head Time and Attendance Administrator for the Enforcement Division and oversee division-wide payroll and leave administrative activities for statewide Enforcement personnel
- serving as the Enforcement Division liaison with Human Resources, Accounting, Purchasing, Property Control, Aviation, and other administrative sections
- performing other related duties, executive assignments, and administrative management responsibilities as assigned by the Colonel and executive leadership.
