Join the Office of Women's and Community Health and play a key role in supporting executive leadership. This position offers the opportunity to provide high-level administrative support, collaborate with senior management, and contribute to initiatives that improve the health and well-being of Louisiana communities.

Minimum Qualifications

Six years of experience in administrative services; OR Six years of full-time experience in any field plus three years of experience in administrative services; OR A bachelor's degree plus three years of experience in administrative services; OR An advanced degree, or a Juris Doctorate, plus two years of experience in administrative services. EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties and Other Information

Job Duties:

  • Provides high-level administrative support to the Assistant Secretary, Deputy Assistant Secretary, and executive leadership within the Office of Women's and Community Health.
  • Serves as the executive representative at meetings and functions, acting as a liaison between executive leadership and LDH offices.
  • Coordinates executive meetings by documenting action items, tracking follow-up activities, and ensuring timely completion of assigned tasks.
  • Prepares, compiles, and coordinates reports, legislative materials, fiscal documentation, and other executive correspondence for leadership review.
  • Responds independently to written and verbal inquiries from state, local, and federal officials, stakeholders, and the public on behalf of executive leadership.
  • Monitors administrative operations, identifies recurring issues or areas of risk, and provides recommendations to improve program efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Assists with the development, implementation, and oversight of executive policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives while preparing confidential reports and communicating executive decisions.
