FULL TIME ADMISSIONS COORDINATOR - INTAKE - 6A - 2P (Baton Rouge, LA 70816) supports timely, accurate psychiatric admissions by coordinating intake documentation, eligibility review, and admission readiness. Key responsibilities include managing intake inquiries and forms; reviewing referral packets for admission criteria; maintaining intake logs and QAPI intake data; coordinating admission-related communication with physicians and the Director of Nursing; preparing new-admit documentation (face sheets/demographics, episodes of care, insurance details) and assembling patient charts;
and completing insurance verification once a physician accepts the patient. Qualifications/skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Able to work with minimal supervision; organized and self-disciplined
- Strong documentation and communication skills - 2–3 years psychiatric admissions experience preferred (not required); LPN preferred (not required)

You move between phone/email inquiries, packet review, and real-time updates to tracking tools, keeping information current and easy to audit. Mid-shift, you align details with clinical leadership, ensuring decisions and next steps are clearly documented. As admissions progress, you finalize demographic and insurance fields, assemble clean, complete charts, and capture intake metrics for QAPI reporting—closing the shift with logs reconciled and files ready for the next handoff.
