Mission
The mission of the Secretary of State's office is to serve the public by meeting its legal responsibilities of collecting, securing, and communicating information that enhances commerce, ensures the integrity of Louisiana's elections, and preserves, presents, and makes accessible government information essential to Louisiana's operations and its recorded history.
This position is at Louisiana's Old State Capitol, one of the liveliest museums in the region. The person who fills this job will handle some administrative tasks, assist with tours and special events and more. We see 50,000 guests a year from all over the country and the world. Looking for someone who is enthusiastic and willing to learn about all this National Historic Landmark has to offer.

Two years of experience in administrative services.
Experience Substitution:
Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.

Job Duties- Serve as an assistant to the Assistant Director.
- Process requisitions/work with procurement.
- General office support including answering phones, maintain files and mailing lists.
- Maintain the OSC events calendar.
- Timekeeping.
- Assist other areas within OSC as needed.
