Probation & Parole Administrative Coordinator

Probation & Parole Headquarters is seeking a highly organized and motivated Administrative Coordinator to support daily operations and assist with essential administrative functions. This role is key to maintaining efficient workflow, ensuring accurate documentation, and providing reliable support to staff and leadership within a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality administrative service that supports the agency's work in promoting public safety and successful offender supervision.

Minimum Qualifications

Three years of experience in administrative services. EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.

Job Duties and Other Information

Job Duties:

  • Performs responsible departmental-program duties in accordance with division rules, department regulations, and policies which involves communication with other departments, districts, general public and offenders, etc.
  • Prepares correspondence to district office, Parole/Pardon Boards and various law enforcement agencies.
  • Compiles information from various sources and prepares specialized reports; formats reports according to department standards.
  • Performs duties related to traditional administrative functions, such a property control, purchasing, records management and human resources, in addition to other clerical duties.
  • Receives and routes visitors (offenders and public), answers telephones, makes appointments, takes messages, exercises judgment and discretion when dealing with public officials, general public and clients.

  • This position is a 'when actually employed' (WAE) part-time position without benefits.
