POSITION

OVERVIEW

Cornerstone seeks a full-time professional to support our client accounts. All individuals in our Baton Rouge office manage a variety of administrative tasks and support one another in client service activities. Additionally, administrative tasks are necessary to support both new and existing government relations clients. This position is based in our Baton Rouge, Louisiana office.

This position is responsible for several client service, administrative, and direct advocacy tasks, including, but not limited to:

Executive & Administrative Support
  • Manage executive calendars, scheduling, and meeting logistics
  • Coordinate office administration, compliance filings, billing support, and vendor relationships
  • Track and follow up on internal and client action items
Client Communications
  • Prepare, proofread, and distribute client newsletters, legislative updates, memorandums, and reports
  • Ensure all client-facing communications are accurate, polished, and professional
Legislative Monitoring & Reporting
  • Track legislation, committee activity, bill actions, and regulatory developments
  • Provide timely legislative updates and reports to client teams
  • Support legislative research and monitoring efforts during session
Event & Meeting Coordination
  • Coordinate client visits, meetings, receptions, fundraising events, and Capitol Day activities
  • Manage logistics including scheduling, venues, accommodations, and event support
Office Management
  • Maintain a professional, organized, and client-ready office environment
  • Serve as a welcoming and polished representative of the firm

KEY REQUIREMENTS
  • 3+ years of experience in executive support, office management, legal administration, government affairs, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with Louisiana government, the legislative process, and ethics reporting is preferred.
  • Flexibility to accommodate the demands of the legislative session, including occasional early mornings and evenings.
  • Exceptional writing, proofreading, and communication abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Adobe Acrobat, project management tools, and virtual collaboration platforms.
