Job Description:

Provides professional-level coordination for Civil & Environmental Engineering academic and graduate programs, with primary responsibility for complex student-facing program processes, graduate recruitment and conference activities, student employment coordination, program documentation, and academic/research reporting. Coordinates and monitors graduate program applications and inquiries; supports graduate students and faculty through program processes and deadlines; coordinates graduate student assistantship, fellowship, grant, and scholarship placements; compiles information for strategic planning, program assessment, and ABET accreditation;

and coordinates program-related events and communications. Serves as a liaison with campus offices to facilitate academic program processes and resolves routine issues independently, escalating matters requiring policy or leadership decisions.  Coordinates complex, student-facing processes supporting the CEE graduate programs, including oversight of more than 140 graduate program applications and inquiries; assists current graduate students with required paperwork and deadlines; maintains student and graduate faculty records;

coordinates annual graduate recruitment activities and the Graduate Student Research Conference; and provides guidance and follow-through on program processes. Coordinates student employment processes for more than 110 graduate student placements on assistantships, fellowships, grants, and scholarships and supervises student workers. **- 40%
** Provides professional and strategic coordination in support of the Chair and academic programs. Coordinates departmental communications, including preparation and finalization of two annual CEE newsletters, mailing-list maintenance, website and listserv updates, and program-related communications. Coordinates academic and departmental events, including the CEE Hall of Distinction banquet, External Advisory Board meetings, and annual CEE faculty retreat.. **- 25%
** Coordinates research, collection, organization, and compilation of information for strategic planning, SACS program assessments, and ABET accreditation. Manages special projects requiring independent research, documentation, data compilation, and preparation of standardized reports or supporting materials for accreditation and assessment activities. **- 15%
** Compiles and maintains faculty and academic program data used for evaluations and planning, including graduate students advised and graduated, funding obtained, and journal and conference publications. Organizes information into usable reports and provides follow-up with faculty and other stakeholders to obtain complete and accurate program information. **- 10%
** Serves as a departmental liaison with campus offices, including International Services, the Graduate School, Payroll, Copier Management, Facility Services, Telecommunication, Parking, and the LSU Alumni Center, to facilitate completion of academic and program-related processes. Coordinates parking requests and telecommunication work orders and serves as backup to departmental staff as needed. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. **- 10%*
