The Videography Specialist supports the Marketing & Communications Department by assisting in the creation, implementation, and refinement of engaging video and social media marketing initiatives. This role involves producing and coordinating digital video content that advances the organization's message, enhances its reputation, and fosters strong relationships with patients, partners, and the public. The ideal candidate is a creative, hands-on contributor with experience in video production, post-production, and online video platforms.
Responsibilities
Video Production & Support:
- Assist in planning, filming, and editing video content-including interviews, event coverage, educational clips, and animated explainers-aligned with organizational objectives and branding.
- Collaborate with creative teams, healthcare professionals, and external vendors for content accuracy and brand consistency.
- Support storytelling initiatives that showcase organizational values and innovations.
- Strong understanding of composition, lighting, and sound recording.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro).
- Knowledge of motion graphics and animation (Adobe After Effects) is a plus
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Applications.
- Assist in executing video campaigns (organic and paid) and support crisis communication efforts when needed.
- Track video performance metrics and provide basic analytics to inform future strategies.
- Coordinate with internal teams to align messaging and campaign objectives.
- Maintain awareness of relevant healthcare regulations and guidelines for video content.
- Participate in training and contribute to a compliant, risk-aware culture.
- Ability to lift and transport camera and lighting equipment (up to 40 lbs).
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or travel for shoots when required.
- Growth and engagement of video content on social media platforms.
- Quality, timeliness, and frequency of video productions.
- Positive feedback from stakeholders and team members.
- Adherence to compliance and risk guidelines.
- Contribution to successful campaigns and improved brand visibility.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field. Master's can substitute for two years' experience.
- Minimum three years of relevant experience in video production, marketing, or communications.
- Proven ability to film and edit video content; familiarity with digital communication tools and platforms.
- Experience with video management and analytics tools (e.g., You Tube Studio, Vimeo, Wistia) preferred.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and best practices is a plus.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills; a sample of relevant video work is preferred.
- Collaborative mindset and willingness to stay current with industry trends.
- Demonstrates integrity, sound judgment, and patient-centric values.
