Cornerstone Youth and Family Services is seeking a Wraparound Lead Coach/Trainer in Shreveport, LA, and Baton Rouge, LA, for our Youth Wraparound Services program under Louisiana’s Coordinated System of Care (CSoC).
Salary: $40,000 – $80,000 annually (based on experience, credentials, and scope of training responsibilities).
Position SummaryThe Lead Coach/Trainer is responsible for developing, delivering, and monitoring training and coaching supports for Cornerstone’s wraparound workforce. This role ensures staff are prepared to deliver high-quality, family-driven, strengths-based, and culturally responsive wraparound services that are consistent with Louisiana CSoC expectations and high-fidelity wraparound practice. The Lead Coach/Trainer partners with program leadership, supervisors, and quality staff to support onboarding, ongoing skills development, documentation quality, and continuous performance improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Lead onboarding and role-based training for Wraparound Facilitators, Family Support Partners, Youth Support staff, and related team members (as applicable).
- Create and maintain training curricula, job aids, checklists, and learning materials aligned with Cornerstone policies and Louisiana CSoC requirements.
- Deliver group trainings (virtual and in-person) and facilitate skill-building sessions (engagement, CFT facilitation, crisis/safety planning, Plan of Care development, documentation, etc.).
- Provide field-based coaching, shadowing, and feedback to staff; model best practices during family engagement and CFT meetings when needed.
- Support supervisors by identifying coaching needs, reinforcing performance expectations, and helping staff translate training into daily practice.
- Conduct documentation coaching to improve timeliness, completeness, and quality standards; promote consistent use of required systems and templates.
- Collaborate with Program/Quality leadership to track training completion, competency progress, and corrective action follow-through.
- Assist with fidelity and quality initiatives (e.g., audits, observations, coaching plans) and participate in performance improvement activities.
- Coordinate and document required trainings, attendance, and competency verification; maintain training records and reports.
- Stay current on LDH/CSoC updates, wraparound best practices, and internal policy changes; recommend training updates accordingly.
- Promote a supportive learning culture that strengthens retention, professional growth, and service excellence.
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, human services, education/training, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 2+ years of experience in behavioral health, child-serving systems, wraparound, case management, or related family/youth services.
- Demonstrated experience delivering training and/or coaching to staff (formal or informal).
- Strong facilitation, presentation, and written communication skills; ability to train diverse audiences.
- Working knowledge of wraparound principles and the Child & Family Team approach (or willingness to learn quickly).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/Outlook) and comfort using web-based documentation systems.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel locally within assigned service areas.
- Experience in Louisiana CSoC wraparound or high-fidelity wraparound implementation.
- Experience with quality management activities (audits, fidelity tools, performance improvement plans).
- Adult learning or training certification/experience (Train-the-Trainer, instructional design, coaching methodologies).
- Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) is a plus.
