Hours:

  • Monday – 7:45 am – 4:00 pm
  • Tuesday – 7:45 am – 4:00 pm
  • Wednesday – 7:45 am – 4:00 pm
  • Thursday – 7:45 am – 4:00 pm
  • Friday – 7:45 am – 2:00 pm
  • Note:

    Substitute Teacher may need to remain at school outside of the above hours for tutoring, faculty meetings, parent/teacher conferences, professional development, and extended day if needed.

Curriculum and Instruction
  • Carry out a classroom vision and academic long‑term plans for instruction.
  • Execute the year’s curriculum, lessons, and learning objectives aligned to state standards to assure student learning.
  • Provide differentiated instruction to meet the needs of all learners at varying levels.
  • Deliver direct instruction and small‑group instruction in centers.
  • Prepare all materials needed for instruction.
  • Work with the Special Education Instructor to ensure all IEP goals are met.
  • Report attendance.
Data Analysis and Achievement
  • With support from the school leader, provide data‑driven instruction.
  • Assess student learning and check for mastery with daily exit slips, weekly quizzes, unit tests, and other assessments aligned to GLEs.
  • Hold weekly subject‑level data meetings centered on outcomes for meeting student needs and improving instruction.
School Culture and Parent Engagement
  • Invest students in learning and the culture of the school.
  • Promote character development and a positive classroom environment by establishing an atmosphere of Endurance, Compassion, Independence, Ownership, and Partnership.
  • Work effectively on a team.
  • Took on leadership responsibilities within the school.
  • Follow student and staff discipline policies and handbooks.
  • Commit to professional growth through feedback, academic studies, and professional development.

Qualifications
  • Appropriate teaching certification and license in subject teaching.
  • At least two years of successful classroom experience.

  • Exceptional problem‑solving skills and appreciation for feedback.
  • Knowledge of Common Core standards.
  • Foster relational capacity among staff, parents, and students.
