Key Responsibilities- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to the needs of students with dyslexia
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development in evidence-based dyslexia teaching methods
- Collaborate with colleagues, specialists, and families to support student progress
- Maintain detailed records of student assessments, progress, and instructional strategies
- Adapt curriculum and instructional materials to meet individual student needs
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
- Valid teaching certification in relevant grade levels or subject areas
- Experience or interest in working with students with learning differences, particularly dyslexia
- Strong understanding of evidence-based reading and language instruction practices
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to diverse learning needs
- Commitment to professional growth and continuous learning
- A strong desire to receive rigorous, ongoing professional training to deeply understand dyslexia and the effect of dyslexia on academic life
- An open‑minded attitude toward academic instruction, including a willingness to “work outside the box” of traditional instructional methods
- A willingness to receive and implement feedback regarding instructional practices
- Evidence of strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Willingness to participate in highly collaborative lesson planning and teaching situations
- Evidence of individualized, interactive teaching philosophy
