Time Out Room Moderator

The Time Out Room Moderator will supervise students assigned to the Time Out Room. Essential duties and responsibilities include receiving and processing students who have been removed for disruptive behaviors, providing an environment wherein strict discipline is maintained, assisting students with assignments if applicable, consulting individually and/or in groups the students assigned to the Time Out Room, notifying the parents/guardians and appropriate school personnel of the students assigned to the Time Out Room, maintaining accurate, complete and correct records as related to the Time Out Room, monitoring the completion of assigned class work given to the students, providing follow-up to students, parents and teachers, and engaging in continuous training and staff development.

Other duties as assigned that are related to the functions of the position.

Education and experience requirements include a high school diploma or high school equivalent, completed two years of study at an institution of higher education (48 college credit hours with required courses), or received an Associate's degree (or higher) from an accredited institution of higher learning, or a minimum score of 450 on the ETS Parapro Exam for Elementary TOR Moderator. For Secondary TOR Moderator, a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university and a valid teaching certificate are required.
