Step into a vital support role working with students from kindergarten through 12th grade at multiple school sites in the Baton Rouge area as a contract school psychologist. This opportunity involves 29 hours per week during the school year, focused largely on discipline requests and serving as part of a multidisciplinary team. You'll make a meaningful impact by assessing educational needs, working directly with students and families, and supporting positive outcomes for learners across a diverse school community.

Qualifications:
  • NASP certification or LSSP from the Louisiana State Board of Examiners and Psychologists is required
  • Solid understanding of psycho educational evaluations and compliance with IDEA regulations
  • Experience interpreting assessment data and writing thorough, comprehensive reports
  • Familiarity with special education eligibility and multidisciplinary processes
  • Excellent communication skills for sharing results with parents, educators, and school teams
  • Demonstrated organizational and time-management skills to meet evaluation timelines
  • Ability to collaborate with educational diagnosticians, social workers, SLPs, and administrators
  • Bilingual candidates strongly encouraged to apply
  • Able to successfully complete district background check and fingerprinting requirements
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct educational assessments, interpret results, and provide timely written reports
  • Offer information and referrals for families to appropriate community resources
  • Work directly with students and families, using best educational practices
  • Maintain strong communication with school staff regarding intervention strategies
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and planning for individual student support
  • Keep accurate records to ensure program accountability
  • Help facilitate and interpret assessment processes for school personnel and families
  • Engage in professional development and in-service activities as required
