Make a difference in the lives of students across multiple school sites by bringing your expertise as a School Psychologist to a vibrant PK-12 educational environment near Baton Rouge, LA. This contract opportunity, beginning on 8/18/26 and extending through 5/24/27, offers 29 hours per week focused primarily on discipline requests and psycho educational support. Youll play a vital role as a member of a multidisciplinary team serving diverse learners and collaborating closely with families and school staff.

What Were Looking For :
  • Valid NASP certification or LSSP from the Louisiana State Board of Examiners and Psychologists (required)
  • Robust understanding of psycho educational evaluations, IDEA compliance, and special education eligibility
  • Proven experience interpreting assessment data and writing detailed, comprehensive reports
  • Effective communication skills to explain assessment results and collaborate with parents, educators, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong time-management and organizational abilities to ensure adherence to evaluation timelines
  • Experience in teamwork, particularly with educational diagnosticians, speech-language pathologists, social workers, and administrators
  • Bilingual skills are a plus
  • Willingness to complete the required district background check and fingerprinting
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct educational assessments, interpret results, and draft timely, thorough reports
  • Serve as a resource for information and referrals for students and families
  • Collaborate with school personnel and families to plan, implement, and monitor strategies to address student needs
  • Maintain accurate case records and participate in in-service training with staff and families
  • Clearly communicate and interpret assessment processes and results to all stakeholders
  • Help design and guide programs for individual students in partnership with multidisciplinary teams
