Overview
TRC is seeking a highly motivated Bridge Engineer to join our growing transportation practice in Baton Rouge, LA
.
The ideal candidate will have experience working on Louisiana DOTD bridge projects, be a team player, and be enthusiastic in working with other engineers, project managers, and other technical staff assisting with planning, designing, and overseeing civil engineering projects, such as the inspection, load rating and design of new bridges and bridges to be rehabilitated.
Responsibilities- Participates in the design of new bridges as well as bridges to be rehabilitated.
- Participate in the production of project plans, specifications, reports and cost estimates.
- Be involved in all project aspects including inspection/load-rating/design, site/field visits during construction, shop drawing review, and be able to work independently.
- Efficiently produce quality deliverables while meeting budget and schedules on multiple concurrent projects.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees.
- Ability to supervise and mentor entry level staff and be responsible for entry level staff job tasks.
- Ability to provide QA/QC on design calculations, design plans, inspection report, load rating calculations and reports etc.
- BS or MS degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- 5 or more years of Bridge Design, Bridge Rehabilitation Design, Inspection, and Load Rating experience
- Professional Engineer License (Louisiana)
- Experience working with complex software such as MDX, MIDAS, LUSAS, AASHTOWare, Bentley Bridge Design Software, LARSA, etc.
- Experience using computer assisted engineering and design software to prepare engineering and design documents
- Working knowledge of Micro Station
- Proficient with Microsoft Office tools including Word and Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

CompensationIn accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.
Other Compensation:
Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
