Our Advanced Manufacturing Engineers (AMEs) play a pivotal role in the successful operation of our complex (Refinery, Chemical, Plastics) and are responsible for initiating and leading improvements to unit performance in safety, production, and reliability in a dynamic team environment. You will think strategically, execute thoughtfully, and collaborate across many teams, levels, and situations. In this role, you will serve as a process technical resource, providing technical and operational expertise to address complex processes.

AMEs serve primarily to set longer-term visions for unit performance and troubleshooting in addition to supporting day-to-day activities.

Serve as the Advanced Manufacturing Engineer within the business unit by:

• Mentor less experienced engineers on design practices, unit health monitoring, and troubleshooting
• Provide support for abnormal and non-routine operations, including unit Turnarounds
• Aid in the development of long-term vision and strategy for product line improvements
• Organize and design plant testing and product trials
• Influence others and drive toward solutions without direct authority
• Work in a team environment with other engineering disciplines, operations, and mechanical personnel and interface with corporate technology support
• Interface with 3rd party vendors (cost optimizations as well as developing/driving solutions)
• Lead/support incident investigations as technical lead
• Provide support for developing and implementing various capital projects to drive margin or mitigate SHE risk
• Provide assistance in the field during plant startups, shutdowns or upsets
• Demonstrate courage of conviction to drive healthy tension for both business team and corporate technology support to promote fit-for-purpose outcomes
