Process Simulation Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Process Simulation Engineer to provide technical leadership across dynamic and steady‑state process simulation for complex offshore and onshore energy projects.

This role supports both traditional energy developments and energy transition initiatives, delivering high-quality simulation studies that inform design, safety, and operational decision‑making.

• Act as technical authority for dynamic and steady‑state process simulation
• Develop integrated simulation models linking topsides, pipelines, and flow assurance systems
• Deliver simulation studies to support process design, control philosophy, and operational optimisation
• Assess plant behaviour during start‑up, shutdown, turndown, and abnormal or safety‑critical scenarios
• Define and deliver technically robust simulation scopes aligned with quality, cost, and programme requirements
• Provide simulation evidence to underpin control strategies, trip settings, and operating philosophies
• Support HAZOP close‑out, flare and relief design, and verification of safety‑critical cases
• Evaluate downstream impacts on compressors, flare systems, and other critical equipment
• Contribute to the development of internal simulation tools, workflows, and best practices
• Mentor and support junior engineers, strengthening technical capability within the team

• Demonstrated experience in dynamic process simulation within oil & gas, energy transition, or complex process industries
• Strong expertise in HYSYS Dynamics, OLGA
  , and integrated simulation environments
• Proven ability to deliver technical studies supporting FEED and detailed design phases
• Experience developing or assessing control philosophies and operability strategies
• Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly present complex technical findings
• Consultancy mindset, with experience working directly with clients and multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to mentor and develop engineers within a technical discipline
