AECOM is seeking a self‑motivated, experienced Geologist for our Baton Rouge office. The successful candidate will support Project Managers in the planning, oversight of fieldwork, and evaluation of hydrogeologic and reporting phases for a wide range of multidisciplinary environmental projects. Projects include large Federal clients, Refineries, and numerous commercial clients. The role has a preference to be based out of Denver, CO, but we will consider candidates out of other West office locations.

• Manage field‑based tasks of environmental investigation and remediation programs.
• Oversee and lead well installation and sampling tasks, and communicate with PMs.
• Data management, evaluation and report writing with experience drafting environmental investigation and closure reports.
• Interpret and record data, conduct analyses, compare findings to relevant studies and local, state and federal regulations to ensure compliance.
• Travel to project locations, including driving and overnight stays; expected travel greater than 50% of the time.
• Flexibility to work on a multitude of diverse projects, a positive attitude, willingness to mentor junior staff, and commitment to workplace health and safety.

• Bachelor of Science degree in geology or a related geological science discipline (e.g., geophysics, hydrogeology, or geochemistry).
• 4+ years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and or education.
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License.

• Professional Geologist License or Geologist in Training Certificate.
• Familiarity with common drilling techniques for environmental work.
• Current OSHA 40‑hour HAZWOPER certification.
• Knowledge of RCRA or CERCLA processes.
• Experience with local regulatory agencies.
• Reporting experience in routine monitoring, site investigation work plans, conceptual site model, and well installation reports.
• Task management or project management experience.
• Proposal writing a plus.

Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $70,000 to $95,000.
