Senior Transportation Engineer

Role Description

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Traffic Engineer to join the team in Baton Rouge, LA. As a Senior Traffic Engineer, you will work on diverse traffic engineering projects, including alternative delivery projects, in Louisiana and throughout the US, and lead local transportation initiatives in Louisiana and the Southeast region. Day-to-day, you will engage with clients, ensuring effective communication and collaboration, while managing project scope, schedule, and budget.

You will collaborate with senior program managers, project managers, and engineers to deliver projects that enhance transportation operations and safety.

• Manage the delivery of traffic engineering projects and tasks.
• Serve as a primary client contact, presenting technical results and recommendations.
• Coordinate with subject matter experts to integrate insights into project plans.
• Develop strategies for pursuing new projects.
• Conduct traffic studies and lead the preparation of traffic engineering plans, such as signal designs and signing and marking designs.
• Mentor junior engineers and interns, fostering their professional growth.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 15+ years of relevant work experience.
• Must possess a Louisiana PE License.
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License.

The salary range for this position is $93,944‑161,405; actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
