Vectura Consulting Services was founded in 2015 by two engineers that specialize in traffic and transportation engineering.
As transportation engineers, our team works on projects for MOVE , DOTD, and private development clients across Louisiana. Our services cover traffic studies, safety studies, parking studies, traffic simulation modeling, traffic signal design, ITS design, and CEI services for signal construction projects.
THE POSITIONWe are looking for a Senior Traffic Civil Engineer to take on quality control, project management, and mentorship of junior staff. This is a hands-on role with responsibility across the full project lifecycle, from study to construction support.
Full-time candidates must be based in Louisiana. Part-time candidates may work remotely or locally.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Quality control for transportation studies including traffic impact studies, signal timing studies, corridor studies, roundabout studies, and safety studies
- Quality control for traffic simulation models
- Quality control for traffic signal design and fiber plans, construction estimates, specifications, and special detail plans
- Quality control for traffic management plans
- Project team leadership on schedule and budget
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
- Licensed Professional Engineer in Louisiana, or eligible to apply within six months of hire
- 15 or more years of experience as a licensed civil engineer
- PTOE certification
- DOTD Traffic Engineering Process Report Class Certification
- Working knowledge of Highway Capacity Manual, MUTCD, AASHTO, DOTD Traffic Engineering Manual, DOTD Traffic Signal Design Manual, and DOTD EDSMs
- Experience with traffic engineering software including HCS, Synchro, Vissim, Vistro, and/or Sidra
- Proficiency in Micro Station and/or AutoCAD
- Microsoft Office proficiency, particularly Excel and Word
