About This Job
The mission of the Louisiana Department of Health is to protect and promote health and to ensure access to medical, preventive, and rehabilitative services for all residents of the State of Louisiana.
Responsibilities- Serves as the senior DWRLF Project Engineer providing functional supervision of the work of all other DWRLF Project Engineers and Engineering Technicians while also updating and developing DWRLF training tools and program protocols/Standard Operating Procedures; provides staff with technical guidance/training regarding all DWRLF program elements and requirements.
- Serves as a technical lead for water grade rule activities assigned to the DWRLF group which include Capacity Development extra credit and the financial water grade standard (rate studies & audits).
- Manages and conducts reviews of all new DWRLF Applications submitted throughout the year for conformity with DWRLF program guidelines.
- Possession of a current Louisiana license to practice professional engineering.
- One of the following: two years of licensed engineering experience; or six years of professional engineering experience.
- Substitution options:
- Master's degree in engineering substitutes for one year of professional engineering experience.
- Doctorate degree in engineering substitutes for two years of professional engineering experience.
- Advanced degrees substitute for a maximum of two years of professional engineering experience.
- No substitution for licensed engineering experience.
