ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze survey reports, maps, and other data to plan and execute projects
- Compile and submit permit applications to local, state, and federal agencies verifying that projects comply with various regulations
- Perform or oversee soil testing activities
- Use design software to plan and design transportation systems, hydraulic systems, and waste/water containment facilities in line with industry and government standards
- Perform or oversee surveying operations to establish reference points, grades, and elevations to guide construction
- Present findings to the public and clients on topics such as bid proposals, environmental impact statements, and various project designs
- Manage the design, construction, repair, maintenance, and replacement of public and private infrastructure
- B.S. in Civil Engineering
- Construction compliance experience
- Experience in preparing plans in AutoCAD
- Louisiana DOTD project experience preferred
- Work effectively as a team member
- Exercise initiative and innovative thinking
- Organize, prioritize and perform multiple tasks
