Entry Level Roadway Design Engineer

Waggoner Engineering, Inc. is hiring an Entry Level Roadway Design Engineer for our Baton Rouge, LA office to work on a variety of transportation projects throughout Louisiana.

Location: Baton Rouge, LA

• Perform engineering analysis and design (2D and 3D) for roadways, intersections and related infrastructure, including new construction and rehabilitation.
• Prepare construction plans, specifications, and contract documents for contracting and bidding of construction projects.
• Perform analysis and design of stormwater management facilities for roadway drainage.
• Follow safety rules, guidelines, and standards for all projects.
• Maintain and document written and verbal communications with clients throughout the development and completion of a project.
• Prepare engineering studies and reports.
• Prepare project design using sound engineering principles, engineering software and tools.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Passing of the Fundamentals test is preferred.
• Experience with engineering analysis in 2D and 3D.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
