PurposeWe are seeking a Piping Engineer II to join our Baton Rouge team, supporting projects across refining, chemicals, and energy sectors. This role is ideal for an engineer who can independently execute standard piping engineering tasks while continuing to grow technical expertise in a dynamic Gulf Coast environment.
Responsibilities- Perform piping engineering calculations including line sizing, hydraulics, and pressure drop analysis.
- Develop and review piping specifications, material selections, and datasheets.
- Interpret P&IDs and support piping layout and design coordination with design teams.
- Interface with stress, mechanical, civil/structural, and process disciplines to ensure integrated design.
- Support 3D model reviews and ensure engineering intent is accurately reflected in design deliverables.
- Assist with development of material requisitions and vendor data review.
- Participate in project planning, progress tracking, and coordination meetings.
- Support field activities including walkdowns, tie‑ins, and construction issue resolution.
Technical/Industry Experience and Qualifications Requirements
- 3+ years of piping engineering experience in refining, chemical, or petrochemical facilities.
- Working knowledge of ASME B31.3 and applicable industry standards.
- Experience supporting piping design and layout in a 3D model environment (SP3D, E3D, or similar).
- Familiarity with piping materials, specifications, and stress considerations.
- Ability to work independently on standard assignments with guidance from senior engineers.

Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
