Louisiana State University (LSU) in Baton Rouge invites applications for a full‑time Instructor of Industrial Engineering in the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering (MIE).

- Start Date: August 2026 or January 2027
- Teach BSIE Program lecture and laboratory courses (90% of time), including supervision and training of teaching assistants.
- Provide education‑related service as assigned by supervisor.
- Advise students and senior design projects.
- Supervise and manage IE undergraduate laboratories, including upgrades, once per semester (10% of time).
Advise assigned student cohort each semester.
- Master’s in Industrial, Systems, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent. A bachelor’s degree with 10 years of industry experience is a substitute.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial engineering education and/or engineering practice.
- Ph.D. in an engineering discipline.
- Teaching experience in core BSIE courses and engineering laboratories.
- Experience in probability and statistics, information technology related to IE (e.g., business analytics, systems integration, information system design, enterprise resources planning, and enterprise systems), supply chain engineering, and other IE core subjects.
- Strong management and oral and written communication skills.
- Relevant certifications in industrial, systems, aerospace, nuclear, or mechanical engineering.
