Stanley Consultants is seeking a talented and driven individual to manage transportation projects for our top clients in Louisiana, including the Louisiana DOTD and municipalities throughout the state.

- Participates in project scoping, costing, and proposal preparation, and negotiations to the extent required.
- Reviews assigned project(s) after award to define project scope, determine work procedures/sequences and develops schedules, budgets, staffing, and progress billing points.
- Forms a project team and sees that responsibilities are assigned and the execution of tasks are begun and completed in accordance with schedule.
- Submits documents to federal, state, and local authorities to obtain permits required.
- Meets with Client as necessary during the development of a project to resolve issues and to obtain approvals at the project’s completion.
- Maintains a continuing business relationship with clients as part of ongoing business development efforts.
- Plans, organizes, communicates, and coordinates project engagements.
- Manages the day-to-day activities of project engagements including clients and project teams.
- Prepares project opening orders, project outlines, project initiation, project schedules, project executions, and project closings.
- Maintains Project Records.
- Reviews project invoices for accuracy and develops associated progress reports.
- Achieves project performance established for the engagement.
- Achieves project objectives including quality/scopes, budgets, and schedules.
- Works on the overall designs of projects for Louisiana DOTD and local municipalities as well as assists on other market projects.
- Serve as Technical Task Lead on roadway design projects.
- Works with younger designers and engineers on overall design for roadway projects.
- Responsible for quality control, project completeness, budgets, schedules, and maintaining positive relationships with clients on assigned projects.
- Bachelor of Science in Civil or Construction Engineering.
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with at least 4 years of highway design.
- Professional Engineer license (PE).
- Previous project management level experience.
- Prior experience working for a transportation agency or consulting engineering firm.
- Knowledge and experience with the Louisiana DOTD including the Road Design Manual.
- Working knowledge of Micro Station and Open Road Designer.
