Engineer 6 – Right of Way Permits Engineer position with the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) in Baton Rouge
Serves as statewide technical authority for DOTD's Right-of-Way Permit and Joint Use Agreement programs, providing leadership, policy direction, and oversight. Manages complex permit assignments, provides technical expertise on plan preparation and design, and represents the department in consultations with federal and state agencies.
Key qualifications:- Current Louisiana professional engineering license plus two years licensed engineering experience OR six years professional engineering experience
- Experience managing permits and lease agreements on state highways
- Project management expertise with ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams
- Technical expertise in plan preparation, design, and construction of permitted facilities
- Ability to serve as department expert and represent DOTD with FHWA and other governmental agencies
