Join Our Expanding Water Quality Team
We're growing and looking for a seasoned professional to join our Water Quality team in Baton Rouge, LA. If you're a water resources engineer or environmental scientist with experience in environmental compliance and permitting, and passionate about making a meaningful impact, we'd love to talk with you. What You'll Be Doing:
- Delivering water quality permit and compliance services for leading industrial clients.
- Managing projects from kickoff to completion—budgets, timelines, QA/QC, and client relationships.
- Preparing high-quality technical correspondence, reports, and proposals.
- Developing, reviewing, and interpreting water quality and wastewater models to support permitting, compliance evaluations, and client decision-making.
- Serving as a liaison with regulatory agencies in Louisiana and Texas.
- Mentoring and guiding junior staff.
- Conducting occasional fieldwork as needed.
Qualification:
- A BS or MS in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a closely related field.
- At least 8 years of consulting experience in water quality.
- 5–10 years of hands-on experience in industrial wastewater permitting and compliance, and water quality modeling.
- In-depth knowledge of water quality regulations, including the Clean Water Act (CWA), Safe Drinking Water Act, and CWA Section 316(b), especially in Louisiana and/or Texas.
- Strong expertise in NPDES/TPDES/LPDES discharge permitting and compliance.
- Proficiency in developing compliance plans (e.g., SPCC, SWPPP, FRP, Dock Operations, TRE/TIE).
- Excellent communication skills—with the ability to distill technical data into clear, client-ready language.
- Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills, with a track record of successful project delivery and client engagement.
- The ability to juggle multiple projects while maintaining high standards.
- Willingness to participate in professional organizations and attend industry conferences.
Additional Requirements:
- Must meet all Drug & Alcohol, Health & Safety, and Security requirements—including eligibility for a TWIC card.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record; ability to operate a full-size pickup truck safely is essential.
- Flexibility to work outside standard hours and travel as needed.
