This role will support the day-to-day management of the valet operation to ensure the operation fosters an excellent guest experience, strong client relations, and a professional, courteous image. The role will also help create and implement a staging plan that leverages the location layout to maximize parking capacity.
- Participate in programs to improve client and guest satisfaction.
- Ensure guests receive timely and exceptional service by:
- Courteously assisting guests by answering questions.
- Assisting guests in and out of their vehicles.
- Driving, parking, and retrieving guest vehicles in a safe and professional manner.
- Having a thorough knowledge of all areas of the valet operation, major streets, landmarks and freeways in the area.
- Create a staffing schedule according to anticipated daily vehicle volume.
- Maintain full compliance with standard operating procedures while ensuring the safety and security of vehicles and keys at all times.
- Prepare and process daily paperwork according to audit compliance standards.
- Quickly distinguish vehicle makes and models; have a general knowledge of vehicle operations.
- Ensure drive lanes and crosswalks are clear of debris, water, oil spills, etc.
- Report any known accidents, observed or suspected policy violations, safety hazards, or unusual occurrences to the Facility Manager.
- Review damage claims.
- Assist with hiring, training, and coaching an excellent valet team.
- Substitute for any position, if necessary.
- Complete other duties as needed.
Education/Experience Required
:
High School Graduate. A minimum of six months of valet experience preferred.
- Availability to Work: Special shift requirements will vary by location. If applicable, availability to work 2nd shift, 3rd shift and/or weekends may be required.
- License: Must possess a valid state-issued driver’s license with current address and acceptable driving record.
- Oral Communication: Speaks clearly; listens and seeks clarification; responds well to questions.
- Written Communication: Writes clearly and informatively; can read and interpret written information.
- Guest Service: Strong guest orientation and positive attitude; responds to requests for service courteously and professionally.
- Adaptability: Adapts to changes in the work environment; able to handle change, delays, or unexpected events.
- Judgment: Exhibits sound and accurate judgment.
- Physical Demands: Regularly stand, walk, and use hands to handle cash and equipment; occasional sitting, climbing/balancing, and lifting/moving up to 25 pounds. Reasonable accommodations available.
Salary Range: $18.00 per hour (+ tips). This role is eligible to earn tips in addition to the posted hourly rate.
