Sr Accountant

Are you looking to join a well-established and thriving company with long-term potential? We are looking for an experienced Sr Accountant to join our team in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This contract-to-permanent position requires a detail-oriented individual to oversee financial reporting, daily reconciliations, and consolidated financials for multiple entities. The ideal candidate will excel in managing monthly and quarterly reporting deadlines while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and deliver monthly balance sheets and income statements, ensuring timely submission and accuracy.

- Manage all parts of the accounting cycle including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, and invoicing.

- Consolidate financial reports for multiple companies and maintain clear, organized records.

- Perform daily cash reconciliations to ensure proper tracking and reporting of financial transactions.

- Oversee the month-end close process, verifying the integrity of financial data and resolving discrepancies.

- Manage general ledger accounts and ensure compliance with accounting standards.

- Conduct financial statement audits and provide necessary documentation for regulatory reviews.

- Utilize Quick Books Enterprise and  for efficient financial management and data processing.

- Apply advanced Microsoft Excel skills to analyze financial data, create reports, and support decision-making processes.

- Collaborate with internal teams to improve financial processes and reporting accuracy.

Requirements

- Proven experience in preparing monthly and quarterly financial reports with strict adherence to deadlines.

- Strong knowledge of all aspects of the accounting cycle, general ledger management and month-end close processes.

- Proficiency in Quick Books Enterprise desktop and  for financial operations.

- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting functions.

- Ability to consolidate financials across multiple business entities.

- Experience conducting audits and managing accurate financial records.

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in managing daily reconciliations.
