Senior Accountant

Baton Rouge, LA:
Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This role is responsible for supporting the month‑end and year‑end close processes, reconciling the general ledger, preparing financial reports, reviewing customer pricing and gross margin, and providing analytical insights to support strategic decision‑making. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail‑oriented, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

• Prepare journal entries and perform account reconciliations for month‑end and year‑end closing processes
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and ensure accuracy of financial data
• Review customer pricing calculations to validate revenue and gross margin assumptions
• Perform monthly sales reporting, including analysis of units sold, revenue, and gross margins
• Compile and analyze data for weekly financial reporting
• Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in compliance with GAAP
• Assist with external audits, tax filings, government surveys, and other financial projects
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to provide financial insights and operational support
• Analyze financial trends and variances versus budget/plan to support management in forecasting and strategic decision‑making
• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA preferred)
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (including pivot tables and data analysis functions)
• Manufacturing industry experience preferred
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Ability to occasionally stand, walk, bend, and reach
• Ability to lift and carry up to 15 pounds as needed
