Our client, a well-established community bank, is seeking an experienced Commercial Loan Assistant to support a growing commercial lending team. In this role, you'll partner closely with Commercial Lenders throughout the loan process—from application to closing and ongoing portfolio maintenance—helping ensure a smooth experience for both borrowers and internal teams.

• Provide administrative support to Commercial Loan Officers throughout the lending process.
• Prepare loan documentation and gather required financial information.
• Order and track appraisals, title work, flood certifications, UCC searches, insurance, and other third-party items.
• Coordinate loan closings and ensure all required documentation is complete and accurate.
• Review loan files for completeness and regulatory compliance.
• Board-approved loans and maintain loan files within the bank’s core system.
• Monitor loan exceptions, collateral documentation, insurance renewals, and financial statement tracking.
• Assist with renewals, modifications, annual reviews, and portfolio maintenance.
• Communicate with customers, attorneys, title companies, and internal departments to ensure timely loan processing.
• Deliver outstanding customer service while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

• 2+ years of Commercial Loan Assistant or Commercial Lending support experience within a bank.
• Knowledge of commercial loan documentation, loan processing, and closing procedures.
• Experience with commercial real estate (CRE), C&I, and SBA loans is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and banking software systems.
