Special Project Officer
The incumbent of this position requires knowledge of the Division of Family Support, best practices, federal policies and regulations. The incumbent will also serve as Chief of Staff to the Assistant Secretary of Family Support.
Legal experience is a plus!

Work Schedule: Typically, work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday – Friday. Flexible work schedules are available after meeting certain criteria and is dependent upon the position you are applying for. Some positions require working shifts.
Compensation: Salary will be based upon selected applicant's experience.

- Serve as Chief of Staff to the Assistant Secretary of Family Support and work closely on DA contracts.
- Oversee strategic business initiatives and legislative strategy from development through successful execution under the guidance of senior leadership and department heads.
- Assist and communicate with executives in decision making, program management, and initiative implementation.
- Reviews and approves draft legislation, fact sheets, briefs work product and strategies developed by division staff.
- Leads and facilitates meetings with senior leadership, stakeholders, staff and clients.
- Represents the Assistant Secretary and the division in meetings with stakeholders, federal partners, Senators, and Representatives.
- Improves current processes and coordinates organizational procedures for optimized efficiency and productivity.
- Performs other duties as needed for the smooth operation of the department.
No Civil Service Test score is required in order to be considered for this vacancy.
