About This Job
The Gaming Enforcement Division is committed to the strict regulation and control of statutorily authorized gaming entities in conjunction with the Louisiana Gaming Control Board (LGCB). The regulation of gaming and the enforcement of criminal gambling laws promote the public's health, safety, and welfare by safeguarding the people of this state against corrupt and dishonest practices. We also provide professional services in an effective, innovative, and fair manner that instills public confidence while ensuring accurate revenue collection and reporting from licensees, protecting the state's assets, and upholding the integrity of all gaming devices and systems.
We’re looking for an Auditor to join our Audit and Technical Section—a professional, progressive team working to attract and support the talent that drives our mission forward. The auditor will play a key role in auditing the gaming industry for compliance with statutes and gaming regulations to ensure the integrity of the Louisiana gaming industry.
Minimum Qualifications- Three years of experience in accounting or auditing; OR
- Six years of full‑time experience in any field plus twenty‑four semester hours in accounting, auditing, business, finance, management, economics, quantitative methods, or information systems; OR
- A bachelor’s degree with twenty‑four semester hours in one or a combination of the above areas; OR
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting, auditing, finance, business administration, management, economics, information systems, quantitative methods, or statistics; OR
- A bachelor’s degree plus a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or Certified Government Audit Professional (CGAP) designation; OR
- An advanced degree in accounting, auditing, finance, business administration, management, economics, information systems, quantitative methods, or statistics; OR
- A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation.
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience toward the six‑year full‑time requirement. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours, which substitutes for up to four years of experience in any field.
Job Duties And Other Information- Perform audits of casinos to ascertain that all statutes and regulatory requirements concerning casino revenue recognition, accounting and cash controls, and other conditions are met.
- Compile work papers that document the audit process and the information obtained.
- Interact with casino representatives and personnel to obtain necessary information and to inform and/or instruct them of Division policies.
- Plan and schedule work in accordance with established priorities to maximize efficient use of resources.
- Determine if licensees are in compliance with Administrative Rules and Regulations, the Louisiana Statutes, and their accounting procedures and controls.

Gaming Enforcement‑Audit in the Office of State Police, Bossier Parish - Compensation:
- Auditor 1 (AS‑614): minimum salary $1,544.00
- Auditor 2 (AS‑615): minimum salary $1,652.00
- Auditor 3 (AS‑617): minimum salary $1,892.00
